What is TaraShine?
TaraShine began in 2002 as Pink MoonCity. It is a means for me to express my interest and knowledge in a variety of topics. Also, through TaraShine, I am able to advocate knowledge in others about what I feel is important.

YCALS
YCALS (Youth Council for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) is an organization that allows students of all ages to participate in advocacy about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (also known as ALS, MND, Lou Gehrig's Disease, Maladie de Charcot, among other names). A participant can get business and art experience through advertising advocacy; science experience through research; and humanities and social experience through volunteering with patients.
Aghor
In literal Hindi, aghora means, "that which is not difficult or terrible." Aghori are those who are limitless, those who are beyond the reaches of worldly desires and mortal consciousness, and those who practice aghora. They are believed to be one of the five avatars of Shiva, the God of Destruction who has also overcome ego and attained perfection. Aghora itself is not bound to any one religion, sect, or tradition; it is a mental state of consciousness through which one gains a "state of supreme non-discrimination" and a connective media between different religions. However, many believe aghors to be practitioners of black magic. Through the misinterpretation of the aghor's context and setting, many believe them to "behave rudely, use abusive language, and spread fear and aversion." Knowing the history and rituals of the aghori is essential in understanding how they are misinterpreted.
